Netflix has debuted the first footage of Henry Cavill in character as Geralt of Rivia in the upcoming series, The Witcher.
Reminiscent of Legolas from Lord of the Rings, the Superman star stares at the camera rather timidly in the teaser, his hair long and silver.
The British actor's new look prompted a number of meme reactions, with some comparing the strange wig to Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter.

Cavill's leading role in the Netflix fantasy series follows news that he may no longer be playing Superman in the DC Universe.
The Witcher stirred controversy when it was revealed the series was casting a non-white actress in the role of Ciri, who is depicted blond and white in the novels and video games.
The Witcher is expected to debut in 2019.
