Tom Cruise has said goodbye to New Zealand with a single tweet.
The Hollywood icon was in the South Island filming the latest instalment of Mission: Impossible in and around the Rees Valley near Glenorchy.
He kept a low profile for most of his stay, only occasionally being spotted out and about.
But in a single tweet posted this morning, Cruise thanked "the amazing people" who'd hosted him.
He also said he'd had "a great time" filming here.

He included a photo of him posing with his co-stars Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson and Ving Rhames.
Cruise has spent a month filming here on a set built to resemble a settlement in Iraq.
His co-stars were more sociable, often posting their off-set activities to social media.
