Before she became the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle starred in legal drama Suits. Now, the show’s creator has teased the possibility of her returning to the series.

Aaron Korsh, who created the series starring Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht, was questioned by fans about his new spin-off series, Suits LA, on X.

Suits LA, starring Stephen Amell and Bryan Greenberg, started airing on NBC in the US on February 23 and is set to arrive in New Zealand on TVNZ+ this year.

Korsh told fans, “Not trying to replace our beloved originals. Just a new crew working in a different city handling different kinds of cases.

“It seems like people are all wishing it was the originals back. I expected this and can’t blame them. I can only hope they give Suits LA an open-minded try. If they do, I really believe they will grow to love it.”

While Korsh tried to focus on the new series and cast, viewers kept asking him about the original cast. Would Adams, Markle or their co-stars Sarah Rafferty and Rick Hoffman make a comeback?

“Remains to be seen,” he replied. “I am open.”

Meghan played Rachel Zane on the show from 2011 to 2018, departing the series when she got engaged to Prince Harry.

Suits LA stars Amell as a prosecutor from New York who moved to Los Angeles for a fresh start. Lex Scott Davis, Bryan Greenberg and Josh McDermitt also star on the new show.

The original Suits remains Meghan’s most recent acting project to date. However, it won’t be long before she appears on screens again – her lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, is set to debut on Netflix on March 4.

Meghan this month announced the release of the series had been delayed amid the devastation wreaked by wildfires in Los Angeles.

With Love, Meghan was initially set to be released on the streaming platform on January 15.
