One dead after serious crash in West Auckland, diversions in place

A person is dead after a crash in a West Auckland suburb.

Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash on Tirimoana Rd, Te Atatū South, about 7.05pm.

Hato Hone St John sent an ambulance to the crash site.

One person has since died, police confirmed.

Two unoccupied parked cars were also damaged in the collision, they said.

The Serious Crash Unit will examine the scene.

The road remains closed with diversions in place.

Police thanked motorists for their patience.
