A “major” internet outage is affecting around 2500 homes and businesses in South Auckland.
A Chorus spokesperson said it was working urgently to restore services.
“We apologise for the disruption, we know how important connectivity is for homes and businesses and appreciate customers’ patience while we work through the issue.
“We have identified damaged copper and fibre cables impacting approximately 2500 households and businesses.”
Chorus said around 600 copper voice and broadband, and 1900 fibre broadband connections had been disrupted.
The Chorus website shows outages stretching from Karaka through to Kingseat, as well as parts of Waiuku and Glenbrook.
