Wellington dad fighting for his life after scooter accident while on family holiday in Bali
A Wellington dad is on life support after a scooter crash while on holiday with family in Bali.
Jarom Guillonta, a 31-year-old father of two, suffered a severe brain bleed and serious injuries to his hip and femur after the crash on Monday, according to a Givealittle page created to support him and his family.
The fundraiser, which was created by Guillonta’s aunt Edie Fink, said he required “life-saving surgery and is currently on life support”.

“It is a long uncertain journey ahead with the extent of his brain injury still unknown.”
The family are now facing rising medical bills of over $100,000.
“Jarom does have a travel insurance policy. The claim process is underway but [it] is unknown what might be covered at this stage,” the page said.
“This page has been created on the family’s behalf to help ease the financial pressure during this incredibly difficult time, so the family can focus on what matters most, being there for Jarom.”
The Givealittle page has raised more than $13,000.
The Herald has approached the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade for comment.
